The Best Sports Movies & Anime by BetFury

These hot July evenings may feel empty. However, when all sportsmen take a vacation and almost all leagues take a break, we recommend you look at the sport itself from another perspective. In order to “fill the sports gap” we prepared our top list, which consists of 3 superb sports dramas and 3 stunning sports anime. And to make you watch them, we wrote some details below.

CREED

Every person in the world knows who Sylvester Stallone is. His "Cinderella story" is one of the most famous in modern Hollywood.

Sylvester started his career with "Rocky" - a sports drama about a young Italian boxer who became the best in the world through the thorns to the stars. The last film about Rocky was in 2006, and it was a beautiful ending of a 30 years story, but not the franchise's end.

In 2015 we saw the first film of a new boxing trilogy in the Rocky universe - "Creed", and it was even better than everybody expected. Beautiful boxing scenes, emotional drama, a fantastic soundtrack, and of course, continuing the Rockies story, but now as a coach.

COACH CARTER

A simple story about a basketball coach in high school who teaches his students not only to be a team but to be human at first. Samuel Jackson and young Channing Tatum gave us the movie that looks awesome today after 17 years. So if you want to watch the best basketball movie of all time - Coach Carter will satisfy your desire 100%!

MONEYBALL

This movie is not as popular as "The Queen's Gambit" or "Million Dollar Baby", but it deserves your attention more than any other. We rarely see a good movie about baseball and never see an exciting story about managers, analytics, and other sports team staff.

Moneyball is about breaking the rules and fighting for your own ideas. Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Chris Pratt gave a brilliant performances in this movie, and you have no excuses to miss this masterpiece this evening!

KUROKO NO BASUKE (KUROKO'S BASKETBALL)

Let’s go with some anime on the sports topic. Kuroko no Basuke is one of the most popular anime about (who would’ve thought) basketball. The story is about the way some students become champions. We know that this may sound simple, but the amount of emotions, exciting characters, and motivation after watching it is something!

HAIKYU!!

This anime tells us the story of Shoyo Hinata, who becomes obsessed with volleyball after spectating the team game from a particular school. A pretty familiar story but with unusual characters. Also, achieving the goals in this anime is described as pushing each other to the limits and becoming better from step to step.

BAKI THE GRAPPLER

This multi-seasoned anime may be something that you’ve never witnessed before. The story is about a boy called Baki Hanma and his journey to take revenge on his father, who is considered the “Strongest Creature on Earth”.

The plot isn’t only about the revenge itself; this title also shows different martial arts and their perception of life. Warning: blood and gore were detected in this show, but who’s gonna stop you from watching this?
